We are pleased to offer a Positive Parenting Program Group for parents of youth ages 12 to 16 years (Teen Triple P Level 4) at the Centre for Mental Health Research and Treatment this winter.
Triple P Positive Parenting Program is an evidence-based 8-week group intervention that offers parents simple and practical parenting skills and strategies. The program can be helpful for parents who have tweens and teens with challenging behaviors and who would like to learn new ideas and to gain support from other parents in a similar situation. It can also be helpful for parents who simply want to gain confidence and new ideas in parenting.
We are currently accepting referrals for the Teen Triple P group (parents of youth ages 12 to 16 years). The group will run on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8 pm, beginning on Jan 21 2020 and ending on March 10, 2020. I will be facilitating the group with 2 graduate students as co-leaders.
I have attached a flyer and an information sheet, if you have any clients or know of families who may be interested. The 8 week group costs $200. Clients are welcome to contact the CMHRT if they are interested. I will chat with each potential group participant in a short phone screen to determine ‘goodness of fit’.
