Monarch House has the following social groups starting in September.
Lego Club - Lego Club is a collaborative play therapy group in which children work in teams to build Lego models. Using the media of LEGO©, group facilitators target skills such as collaboration, joint attention, joint accomplishment, sharing, turn-taking, verbal communication, and non-verbal communication. The program is led by ABA Therapists under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst®.
This group is intended for children with ASD ages 5-8. Participants must be able to work
independently in groups of 2-3 students and have near typical language skills.
Cost: $660/child for 12 weeks
Dates: Tuesdays, September 24 - December 10, 4:30-5:30pm
Location: Monarch House, 630 Weber St. N. Suite 204, Waterloo
Homework Club - Homework Club involves collaborative group work through completion of a group project. Participants will be given different roles each week and will learn essential skills such as problem solving, compromising, conversation skills, and team work. Practice sheets will be provided each week to generalize skills outside of the group
session. The program is led by ABA Therapists under the direction of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst®.
This group is intended for children with ASD ages 8-12. Participants must be able to work independently in groups of 2-3 students and have near typical language skills.
Cost: $990/child for 12 weeks
