At WRFN we feel that educating families with information surrounding their child’s needs and issues that may come up as a result is an important first step. Knowledge brings about confidence and strength to make informed decisions. It also enables families to better advocate for their child and in turn educate and increase awareness in others. In an effort to fill this need, WRFN offers seminars and workshops on issues surrounding raising and nurturing a child with special needs.  Be sure to check in regularly to see what WRFN has planned!

Connecting families to each other and the community is also important to us.  One of the ways WRFN does this is through Family Days.  Family Days are a fun way to allow time for families to connect with one another in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Do you have a suggestion for an event, seminar or workshop?  We would love to hear from you.  Contact Krista McCann at 519-886-9150 ext. 2 or krista.mccann@wrfn.info.

“My boys had great fun at the family day and want to do a camp there next summer. They especially enjoyed the kayaking, s’mores and archery.  There just wasn’t enough hours to try all the activities…” – Parent that attended Family Day
