Are you interested in sharing stories of community through visual art? Join Extend-a-Family Waterloo Region and A.R. Goudie Nursing Home in creating arpilleras – a unique form of visual art using sewing and design to share people’s personal stories.
This is a chance for individuals, guided by Lori Maloney
Young, to explore their dreams and opportunities for the
future with others who may be on a similar journey. This
interactive program of seven weekly sessions invites young
people with disabilities along with their families and
friends to consider important questions about the next
steps in their lives and plan ahead. With fun and
creativity, we will share ideas about building a
meaningful life in community.
Sessions will be Wednesday evenings starting October 14th through November 25th, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
