Webinar Dates: Tuesdays & Thursdays (Nov 16 - Dec 9, 2021)
Educators play a crucial role in setting the stage for the healthy development of children with Down syndrome into adults who make positive contributions to their community. By guiding appropriate behaviour for successful social interactions in the classroom and school community, incorporating knowledge about communication strengths and challenges into daily routines, and using successful strategies for teaching children with Down syndrome to engage in academics, we are teaching skills that will optimize the potential for full social inclusion.
Please join DSRF speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, and teachers for a comprehensive 8-part webinar series designed to maximize successful participation in the classroom and community for learners with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities.
This series is for classroom teachers, resource teachers, education assistants and other professionals who work in the school setting.
You can register for the entire series for $200, or choose individual sessions for $30 each.
Each presentation is 1 hour with 15 minutes for questions/discussion and takes place on Tuesdays and Thursdays.. All sessions will be recorded for later viewing by registered participants.
