Children and adolescents are really no different – and for young people, sleep is even more critical, because that is where learning is pulled together and organized. A lack of quality sleep leads to irritability, poor concentration, difficulties with organization, confusion, and – over time – possible intellectual challenges. Problems with falling/ staying asleep and/ or waking up feeling unrested are common, especially in adolescents. Dr. Macdonald will talk about the value of restful sleep and will discuss specific strategies about how to get a solid night’s sleep!
