7:15pm - 7:20pm:   Introduction of speaker Danielle O’Connor

7:20pm- 8:00pm:    The importance of the right nutrition and specific health concerns that may affect people with Down syndrome

•    How specific dietary recommendations can help improve/support:

       - Muscle tone

       - Cognition

       - Growth

       - Eye health

       - Digestion

       - Immune health

•    Prevention of common conditions such as diabetes, thyroid, celiac disease

•    How genetics can predispose your child to certain nutrient deficiency’s and what to do about it

•    Figuring out the specific foods your child is sensitive to – testing

•    Tips for toxin clean up in your home and food

          A free healthy eating meal plan and smoothie guide will be provided to all attendees.

8:00pm-8:30pm:  Questions and answers with Danielle

8:30pm-9:00pm:  Refreshments and socializing 


Speaker Description: 

Dr. Danielle O’Connor has been a Naturopathic Doctor for over 15 years and has a clinical focus on treating children with Down Syndrome, Autism, ADHD, anxiety, OCD, tics and Tourette’s as well as chronic pain and infections such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, and Lyme disease.  Dr. Danielle lectures internationally on these subjects and is a Board Member of the College of Naturopaths of Ontario under the Ministry of Health.
