As a member of Every Canadian Counts Coalition, you know we have been the leading advocate for the creation of a new funding model that would address the issue of the widespread shortfall in services and supports for persons with disabilities. It is time to ‘End the Wait’.
And to do that we need your help.
What sort of help are we looking for? Simply, you can help by asking your supporters and contacts to tell the personal stories that will convince policymakers and the wider Canadian public of the need for better services and supports.
Why stories? Because they work. In Australia, the production of the stories based the formation of the Shut Out Report was instrumental in garnering widespread public support for better services for persons with disabilities because of the stories that were told.
For more information about the stories project and how you can share your own stories please visit here.
We would appreciate it if you could help us voice the lives of individuals living with disabilities across Canada so that we can help make a lasting positive impact.
