The Canadian Arab Festival, organized by the Canadian Arab Women’s Association (CAWA), is the first large-scale celebration of Arab culture in the Waterloo Region. It is a vibrant, inclusive, and family-friendly event that highlights the rich diversity, traditions, and contributions of Arab communities in Canada.
Held annually, the festival brings together thousands of attendees from all backgrounds to experience the beauty of Arab culture through music, dance, cuisine, fashion, art, and storytelling. From live performances to artisan vendors, the event serves as a joyful gathering and a meaningful cultural bridge between communities. This festival is open to all, CAWA looks forward to seeing many June 15th!

Are you an adult caregiver (parent/guardian/friend/relative) over the age of 18, free from intellectual disabilities yourself, provide care and are knowledgeable about the daily patterns of an adult aged 18-64 with intellectual disabilities (ID)?

Join Developmental Services Ontario, Central West Region for Safety for Independent Living, a personal safety course where people learn lifeskills that empower them to make safe choices both online and offline.
Course content includes, basic first aid, fire safety, being assertive, people safety and how to ask for help, online safety, road safety, and more.
The course is held from February 12 to 15 from 10 am to 12 pm. A Zoom link will be sent after you register.
