Scholarship Opportunity - High Schooler with Learning Disabilities

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We’re pleased to share that the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario (LDAO) is now accepting applications for the 2025 Roy Cooper Memorial Scholarship Award. This $1,000 scholarship recognizes the achievements and potential of an Ontario high school student with a documented learning disability who is pursuing postsecondary studies in engineering or physical sciences during the 2025–2026 academic year.

This is a fantastic opportunity for students in our community with a strong interest in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), and we encourage all eligible students to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, the student must:

Be a full-time high school student during the 2024–2025 academic year.

Have a documented learning disability as a primary diagnosis.

Graduate high school in 2025.

Be accepted into a bachelor program in engineering or physical sciences (Note: social sciences and technology majors do not qualify).

Use the funds for tuition or books in the 2025–2026 school year.

Applicants must submit the following:
✔ A completed application form (includes written responses to several questions).
✔ Proof of a learning disability diagnosis (psychological assessment, doctor’s letter, or LDA referral).
