What is the Ontario Summit for Students with Disabilities? The Ontario Summit for Students with Disabilities is a virtual, one-day event designed to create a platform for university and college students from all faculties and areas of study to share their lived experiences, learn from each other, and connect to build community.
Join us Saturday, February 10, 2024, free to attend for all postsecondary students. How can I share my story? We encourage all students to share their story using the Share My Story form. Anonymous stories will be consolidated into a post-Summit report and shared with Ontario universities and colleges to lead inclusive processes and changes. Comments and questions can also be shared during the Summit sessions by using the Zoom “raise hand” or “chat” features.
Who is funding the Summit? The Summit is funded by University of Waterloo (Teaching Innovation Incubator, Disability Inclusion Steering Committee, and the Faculties of Applied Health Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, and Science), McMaster University, Toronto Metropolitan University, and University of Windsor – Office of Human Rights, Equity and Accessibility. I have a question about the Summit and report. Please direct any questions about the Summit, including promotion, to Samantha Fowler at stemwithdisabilities@gmail.com.
