Drag-ify! with Sasha Tease and Manny Manilla is a monthly workshop series at Spectrum that explores the basic skills of drag, focusing most on makeup, costuming, and wig styling. The program is open to 2SLGTQIA+ adults aged 18+ who have an interest in drag!
Our first Drag-ify workshop will take place on February 13th at 6:30pm and will be focusing on Drag makeup. This workshop is open to anyone age 18+ in the 2SLGBTQIA+ community who has an interest in drag! Bring a mirror and your makeup kit (please reach out if you need advice on what makeup products to bring).

New Group!
Spectrum is pleased to launch a new monthly group for 2SLGBTQIA+ BIR (Black, Indigenous, and Racialized) folks in Waterloo Region! Join us for our first meeting on February 10th from 5-7pm at Spectrum. Our co-facilitators, Roni and Karla, will lead a discussion to let you know the goals of the group and we can talk about future plans, including what we'd like the group to be called. Plus, we'll have food!
No registration needed, just drop-in.

Rainbow Family Drop-In
How Does Learning Happen? Through Play! Join other 2SLGBTQIA+ children (aged 0-6), caring adults and families in play and exploration together! EarlyON Educators and a Spectrum Registered Early Childhood Educator are available to provide support and information around early learning topics, community resources, programs, and referrals in a play-based environment.
Join us on the third Thursday of each month at 3:30pm at EarlyON | Roger Street.

Our Families and Youth Under the Rainbow programs include storytime and craft programs for ages 4-10 in partnership with our local libraries! This month, we'll be at Waterloo Public Library's main branch, Idea Exchange in Hespeler, the Region of Waterloo Libraries in Baden and St Clements, Kitchener Public Library's Forest Heights branch, and more!

Check out the new Queer Run Club! This is a 2SLGBTQIA+ running club that meets every Sunday. We run for approximately 45 minutes and break up into different paced groups (from hiking to running). The terrain is considered moderate in the winter, so please wear appropriate footwear and dress for the conditions. Dogs are welcome on leash.
