A Canvas for Connection

Dear WRFN Community,

We are excited to announce a series of three half-day Expressive Arts workshops titled A Canvas for Connection: The Waterloo Region Family Network Creates, which is a chance to create together, play, and explore with lots of different art media.

These workshops are hosted by the Waterloo Region Family Network and Stepping Stones Expressive Arts. This series is generously supported by the Keith and Winifred Shantz Fund for the Arts held at Waterloo Region Community Foundation.

If you are a friend of WRFN (individuals with disabilities, their families, and caregivers, WRFN staff, volunteers, and Board members), come and make art with us!

Rachel and Wendy from Stepping Stones Expressive Arts will facilitate a light-hearted and non-judgemental space for making art. They will have materials for drawing and painting, collage, needle felting, sculpture, and so much more.

Everyone who joins in on our art workshops will be encouraged to submit one piece to our WRFN Community exhibition, which will be held on Friday, May 23, at the Kitchener Waterloo Art Gallery. What a fun and beautiful way to celebrate 15 years of WRFN!
