BRAND NEW SPECIAL EVENT TWO-PART WORKSHOP
As part of a learning opportunity for Planners and Independent Facilitators through the Planning and Facilitation Collaborative (PFC), we will be hosting a two-day workshop with Dr. Harvey. We would like to invite all other staff who might be interested in learning more about how to support people with a disability through a trauma-informed lens.
Dr. Harvey has worked as a clinician in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities for over 30 year. Over her years of academic and professional development including valuable experience in direct support of individuals with ID/DD, she has come to recognize that psychologically supporting people with ID/DD must recognize the role that trauma plays in their behavioral issues and address the critical elements needed for their recovery from trauma (including safety, empowerment, and connection).
Two-part Workshop:
January 9, 2024 - 1:00-3:00pm/EST
January 16, 2024 - 1:00-3:00pm/EST
This workshop is for people working in organizations supporting and planning with a person with a disability.
