Exploring the idea of a YIS Coaching Centre
Funded by the Government of Canada’s Community Services Recovery Fund
We’re excited to announce that we are a recipient of the Government of Canada’s Community Services Recovery Fund!
The Community Services Recovery Fund is a $400 million investment from the Government of Canada to support community service organizations, including charities, non-profits and Indigenous governing bodies, as they adapt and modernize their organizations.
This funding will help us to explore what a Youth Impact Survey coaching centre could look like. Because the Youth Impact Survey is such a great tool to hear from young people about their well-being, we’re looking at the possibility of helping other communities across Canada to develop and run a YIS. Stay tuned for updates about this important new research!
Equity Design Thinking
The CYPT Equity Design Thinking team has been meeting over the summer to scope upcoming work that addresses this question:
“There is a great opportunity for the structure that is the CYPT to support system-wide equity for children and youth – so how do we best go about leveraging it at this point?”
Team members have worked to ensure this project is set up in good ways, and are about to launch into consultant recruitment. This consultant will gather the input from CYPT stakeholders and make recommendations on to best leverage the CYPT at this point in time to support system-wide equity. Stay tuned for future consultation opportunities!
