Join Spectrum and Waterloo Region Family Network for a community conversation to help us develop supports for the Trans-Autism Community!
As an organization, we're constantly striving to better understand the community we support, and we want to ensure folks with intersectional identities feel their needs are being met by our services. Therefore, WRFN and Spectrum will be hosting two conversations with those who identify as being part of the Trans-Autism community.
The goal of these conversations is to assess the need for supports tailored to the intersection of autism and Gender Non-Conformity. We are hoping people will share their general experiences with us, help us learn what this community is looking for in terms of support, their experience with any past services, and what barriers they have experienced in accessing support.
These meetings are 18+ and all are welcome - individuals belonging to this intersection, caretakers or friends of those at this intersection, and those who are involved in community organizations working with these populations - however, emphasis will be placed on those voices directly belonging to the community.
