Dear Parents & Caregivers,
We are pleased to share the following announcement on behalf of Extend-A-Family Waterloo Region. EAFWR has been approved to host the GO-VAXX Bus, a mobile vaccination clinic!
On Thursday January 27th, children and youth are invited to register for an appointment to have either their first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Children and families will have the option of having their vaccine on the (really cool) GO-VAXX Bus or having the vaccinator come to their personal vehicle.
There will be two options available for booking:
Youth 12+ Years Old

Appointments will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. on a first come, first served basis with registration required.
Important Addition:
Those in the 12 -17 age group are invited to register for an appointment to have their first or second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Only those 18+ are currently eligible for their booster dose per provincial guidelines. Pfizer vaccinations will be available for anyone aged 12 to 29, with Pfizer or Moderna offered for those 30 and older.

Appointments will be available from 3:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m on a first come, first served basis with registration required.
To register, please contact Twila at (519) 741-0190 ext. 214 between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday January 19th and Thursday January 20th.
If you are calling on Friday January 21st, Monday January 24th and or Tuesday January 25th, please contact Heather at (519) 741-0190 ext. 223 during the same hours.
You are welcome to leave a voicemail outside of office hours, but please be aware that the appointment will not be considered confirmed until you have spoken with a member of the team.
Registration will close when appointments are full, or at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday January 25th.

On the date of your appointment, please bring the health card of the person or people being vaccinated, and be aware that anyone interacting with clinic staff (including other family members in personal vehicles) must wear the medical masks provided by the clinic upon arrival.
