From time to time, the Waterloo Region Family Network (WRFN) is asked to distribute information on behalf of third parties. WRFN provides general information to self-advocates and families of children with special needs. The information provided on this website is not a recommendation, referral or endorsement of any resource, therapeutic method, or service provider. WRFN is not responsible for any information or services provided by third parties. You are urged to use independent judgment when considering any resource.
COVID-19 has also changed the way young people access mental health servcies or seek support (for example, young people may connect with a doctor or therapist online instead of going to a clinic) With all these changes related to COVID-19, we would like young people and families to help us better understand:
• What their experiences with mental health services have been like.
• What their needs and preferences for the mental health services are.
• What their suggestions are for how mental health services can be improved.
The project will likely launch April 2022, and will take about one year to complete.
We estimate that each Research Advisory Group member will dedicate between 1-2 hours per month for various project activities. However, some months may require more of your time than others depending on the activities. Members will be paid $20 per hour for their time.
