Pregnancy and parenting can be challenging: everything from constant nausea to birth trauma, feeding our babies to changing dynamics with our partners and families, fluctuating hormones and postpartum depression…and so much more! Queer folx also experience the added struggle of navigating medical and social systems that can be systemically heteronormative, transphobic, colonial, and impersonal.
This perinatal support group welcomes members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Ontario to come together to share and process fertility, pregnancy, birth and postpartum issues with the guidance of registered social worker Annette Martin (she/her) and psychotherapy student and former birth worker, Beth Murch (she/her).
Our group will meet weekly from 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM over Zoom on the following dates:
September 27
October 4, 11, 18, 25
November 1, 8, 15, 22, 29
December 6, 13
If you are interested in attending this twelve week support group, please info@togetherwaterloo.ca for registration information, including a Zoom link.
