The Family Support Network for Employment is proud to announce the launch of the “Learning Path to Employment,” an online course designed for families of individuals with a developmental disability.
The goal of the course is to provide individuals and their families with the knowledge and tools they need to advocate for, and secure, meaningful paid employment. Current and developing employment systems are complex—this course helps participants who face higher barriers to employment learn how to develop a vision, understand best practices, and navigate the system to achieve improved life and work outcomes.
Register here at https://fsne.ca/courses/learning-path-to-employment/.
The course can be accessed 24/7, is free, and there is no time limit in which you must complete it.
During the following months, we will host live webcasts to answer questions and dig deeper into the course content. Individuals and family members are invited to participate to build an understanding of their role in transforming Ontario’s employment services for people with developmental disabilities.
