As families, we generally want the same for our children with a disability as we want for our other children - a regular, everyday life. With fewer supports and resources in place, we must be creative and resilient in seeking new solutions to support our family members with a disability to live a good life, Safe & Secure, Seven Steps on the Path to a Good Life provides a framework for planning for and creating a full life and secure future.
Think of Safe and Secure as your manuscript for the future, designed specifically with and for your loved one with a disability – so that together you can begin building your son or daughter's very own "everyday life" and safeguard their future.
This fall we will be offering Safe and Secure Book Clubs. These Book Clubs are a great way to join with other families to work through the book and discuss critical planning issues.
The Safe and Secure Book Club will run over a six-month period beginning in November. This club will meet once a month online working through the chapters from the book. We are offering two different options.
Option 1: We will be offering a P4P Family Book Club to families and individuals. The cost per participant is $60.00. REGISTER HERE for the P4P Family Book Club.
